While standard journalists are bound to some code of politeness, feigned respect, and objective reporting, I make clothes and blog about cookies, so I'm just going to say it: this guy is both a cookie-hater and kind of a dick.

Cookiegate
Just got back from a week of fittings in Italy and came across this little tidbit of "news":
While standard journalists are bound to some code of politeness, feigned respect, and objective reporting, I make clothes and blog about cookies, so I'm just going to say it: this guy is both a cookie-hater and kind of a dick.

Sunset Cookie
Gabe and I hit Tower Bar last night and were pleasantly surprised with a special offering by the inimitable Dmitri on our way out, who kindly took a minute out of his busy night to sit down and talk to the Cookie Blog about, well:
No, you're the coolest, D. Thanks for the tasty treats.

The Cookie Games
Interesting
development in the studio kitchen last week:
Not one but TWO intern cookie submissions. We seem to have a little competition on our hands. In one corner, we have Cissy of the Lego Head Clan:
Cissy
sells seashells by the seashore. She's also a terrific intern and notable
baker. Cissy's been with us for quite some time and couldn't seem happier
about it, or life in general for that matter. For example, I asked her to
put her meanest game face on for that picture and look where we got.
In
the opposite corner, there's:
Wait,
what's that guy's name again? KIDDING, it's Robert Jason Johnny.
Johnny hails from a place where farro and oats run free, and where gluten
is evil and refined sugar has no rightful place. Despite this, the guy
can actually bake and I hear is quite an effective intern all in all.
Tough call, but Round 1 goes to Cissy. I have a soft spot for soft spots, and the raw ratio on
those Maple Sugars was near perfection.
